An Icy pic-nic in the Park...

Joe and I took Karen and Drew for a ride this past weekend...we ended up going to Fort Qu'Appelle and decided to drive to the lake for a pic-nic...

Drew my crazy nephew, went into the lake, up to his knees, there was ice so close he broke a piece off for Karen. His legs were so red. We had an awesome time...

We took the long way around back to Regina...stopped at Indian Head and took pictures at the big head. It was nice and a good day spent.

Voices of the North

I went to an Aboriginal Music Showcase at the casino Regina for a Regina Food Bank Fundraiser. It was an awesome show, I went with a couple friends, Geri and Sandra. The food was awesome and the music was amazing. All the performers were Aboriginal and all from Saskatchewan... It was an good night.

I even ran into so many people that I haven't seen in years.
One being my Auntie.......Good Times!

A super nice long weekend...

Hummmm…I feel kinda guilty about not posting anything for a while now. I am on the continuous hunt for a new home…so far no luck. No luck with anything that I will be happy with.

I had a wonderful Easter holiday. I spent a couple hours cutting a sponge to the shape of a rabbit’s foot so that I can paint tracks on the floor around the house…only to have no kids’ home on Easter morning.

Took Karen and Taylor for ice-cream in the park…walked with my mom and Aunt Delia. It was a good visit, one that we will have to do again.

Fool me once, shame on you…

How many times should a person forgive someone?? What is the old saying, fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me… What about the third or fourth time? Are you an idiot for believing in someone after they apologize, or is it just letting that person get away with what they had done? Again, is there where gullible comes in…or is it forgiveness? I wonder? Should what is being done to you, be done to them? Maybe if you are evil enough…could that be a possibility…hummmm, you can’t see it, but my fingers are tapping together so evilly.

The practice of forgiveness has been shown to reduce anger, hurt depression and stress and leads to greater feelings of hope, peace, compassion and self confidence. Practicing forgiveness leads to healthy relationships as well as physical health. It also influences our attitude which opens the heart to kindness, beauty, and love.

Black & White Party

I attended a Black & White Birthday Party for my friend and co-worker Sandra. Paulette was my date. It was very nice, relaxed and pleasant. Everyone had to wear black and white, we each brought a food dish since it was potluck. I “cooked” meat and cheese platter with a veggie and dip tray…yeah, I bought it…they know of my cooking skills. Sandra had this scrapbook album with all the decorations on a side table for anyone who wanted to write her a birthday wish. It had pages with family and accomplishments. It was a brilliant idea, one I will steal for my own birthday. I really enjoyed it. Sandra is blessed with a wonderful family, beautiful girls and amazing friends…

Juhnea came home, we watched movies and had a good time. Joey really likes to poke fun at his sister and wrestling, I could watch them for hours. Karen had Rae-dean over…We drove around for a while, no place special to go, just drove and drove.

Paulette left for Vancouver…hope she has a safe flight and a wonderful time…
