It Came...

My T-shirt that I won from www.missmalaprop.com/ has arrived in the mail. It is from www.shopflick.com, and it’s super cute. Check out the website if you have a chance. My daughter likes the t-shirt so I will have to give it up to her. No pictures yet.

Vernessa and Corey came over last night. It was good to see them again. So we opened a bottle of wine and talked and talked. It was good. Plus I was glad Vernessa came over because she motivated me to get back into my beadwork. I have been so “blah” lately, and it took a good friend to snap me out of it.

So tonight, my plans will include SURVIVOR, I have to make a pair of earrings for a lady and then I will snuggle up with my babies and relax.

Santa came to Northgate Mall...

Karen and I got our picture done with Santa Claus. She stood up while I sat on his lap. It was great, we get to pick it up tonight on our way home.

It was a lazy night last night. I had this awful lonely feeling for most of it, but it only happened after talking to Juhnea. I do miss her sooo much, and I can’t do a whole lot for her when I am far away.

I still haven’t made anything new, but I think I have to tonight, get motivated and get busy crafting. My next craft sale in on March 15, and that isn’t that far away. So I have included some of the pictures that I didn’t include before. I try to take a picture of everything I make. You wouldn’t believe how many times I comment on someone’s jewellery and then find out I made it, it’s flattering.
Here are the beaded baby shoes that I made and sold this summer. I have bought some more to try. I think I'll go with a boy's pair this time.
Key chains that I made with copper wire and rocks. They are pretty cool if I must say so myself. I made one for myself too.
These are the Roughrider earrings I made and then the Roughrider necklaces.

People you can count on...

Ever have any of those? I thought I did a couple times. But in the end it comes down to only counting on yourself and those who have proven themselves over time. I try to surround myself with true and sincere people. I try to take other peoples feeling and emotions first. I have a big heart, I am happy for other peoples’ success, sure I get envious, but in the end I have what makes me happy. I don’t say mean and hurtful things because it’s those mean and hurtful things that scar and last forever. If I have, please forgive me, because I will always forgive you! One day I will learn my lesson and when that day comes there won’t be anymore chances and I will miss you!

Busy, busy, busy...

What a busy and interesting weekend I had. Let’s see there was coffee, shopping, and flirting old men. Visits with dad and a sick daughter. There was Christmas Tree buying and decorating. There was rude comments and hurtful remarks. There was sightseeing in graveyards and lunch in Fort Qu’Appelle. There was quick visits and coffee.

I did not pick up one bead.

These are the marble necklaces that I made this summer. I really like the Bob Marley ones...my favorite of course. I also made a couple with the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Yeah, they are cool!

I Won!!

I am the winner of the Shopflick Buddy t-shirt giveaway on MissMalaprop.com. Check out both sites, they are great! Have a spy at the t-shirt I won, I will model it and then post the pic (when it arrives of course).

Spiders, Visits, Shopping and Claus…

What a nice long weekend it was for me.

Karen spent a night with Rae-dean, so it left Saturday wide open for me to just do something. So I picked up my sister Catherine, we drove around, found mom and Jean. Went for lunch, visited family. Then Catherine and I went to Paulette’s where we went shopping. Literally, shopping in her house. She has soo much stuff. It was great. We went out for one drink (pop). Then I drove everyone home, and off to home I went.

I did make two new bracelets this weekend. The main part is a huge beaded spider and I made it into a bracelet. The legs of the spider curl around the wrist. I will post a picture soon.

Santa Claus Parade was on Sunday. That was fun, it wasn’t too terribly cold and the kids enjoyed themselves. It was a good day.

another day...

It’s that time again when it gets so clear and cool out that the trees are covered in frost. It does look beautiful out there…yet at the same time you know that the minus freezing weather is soon to follow. I must say that we are lucky, since it is the middle of November and the ground is only covered with frost, and not the couple feet of snow.

I had an awesome weekend. First, Juhnea surprised me by coming home for a few days, and then she told me that she wants to come home after this semester is over. I am smiling from ear to ear and I feel so relieved. Then all my kids were home for a night, Joey, Juhnea and Karen. We watched movies and hung out together. I absolutely loved it. It’s not too often I get them all in one room.

I have updated some of the posts with the pictures…

A Sad little Care Bear

Well Karen was upset yesterday since her friend (Lily) from down the street moved. So to keep her in a happy mood we decorated for Christmas. Oh yeah, we pulled out all the Christmas boxes and bags, we hung decorations and listened to some music. We even hung the stockings. It looks nice.

Christmas is next!

So now that Halloween is over and Christmas is just around the corner, I have to start planning for that. Wow, the house is bare after all the decorations for Halloween are down. Only Joe made me promise I won’t decorate for Christmas for a couple weeks. When I say decorate, I don’t mean like Martha Stewart, I mean like everything the kids ever made in school and each craft we did every year. Oh yeah, I prefer to call it rustic, or the home vibe.

My Crisco Christmas Hamper that I have ordered and paid for all summer is finally going to be delivered at the end of November. I hope it’s as good as it looks in the catalogue.

I think this year we are going to have a Christmas Eve supper and open gifts at 12. Well too soon to say, but I have so many ideas floating around in my head. I know Christmas will be at Paulette’s house…our family Christmas, on Christmas day…

Either I have grown up or I have gotten old!

Funny though, I don’t feel that old. Well, let me re-phrase that…I don’t feel as old as I am, or as Ron puts it “I am immature for my age”! I think I have grown up a bit, but not to the point of a crabby, miserable 35 year old. So I dance, I sing alone, I make up songs, I smell flowers and wish on dandelions. I make crafts, learn new things and laugh my head off.

Check me out at Medusa, with my snake headband and my cut throat...best part is, I never lost one snake.

I can proudly say that I remember every part of my birthday. I even chose to go and eat with Joe and John, rather than go to another bar. It was a good night. I had a few friends come over, I even seen some that I hadn’t seen since my birthday last year. Paulette brought over some awesome food, helped with decorating; I can always count on her!

Only one regret… I didn’t take many pictures. Not at all. I took a few…that’s it. I didn’t even get one of me in my costume, or of me with my friends.

It took a couple hours and three boxes later, Halloween is officially over. I did make a few new things; like the werewolf upstairs, Jack Skellington, and the baby salsa bowl.
